1. Input Parameters

Name Type Required Description

Flags

INT

Yes

Currently not supported — pass 0.

Modules

STRING

Yes

Short labels of the requested modules separated by spaces

2. Output Parameters

Name Type Dependency Description

Result

STRING

—

Return codes separated by spaces for the requested modules, in input order:
0 = the module is licensed and usable for the calling station
602 = the module is not available for the calling station; the reason is given per module by an entry in the error stack (see Diagnostics in the Error Stack)

3. Return Value

(INT): 0 = Job successful, otherwise error code.

The job returns 0 even when none of the requested modules is available. The result is carried by Result only.

4. Scope: the Calling Station

The check refers to the calling station, not to the license stock as a whole. Licenses of type N and U (see lic.LicGetModuleInfo) that are not shared for this station return 602 even though a license entry exists.

Measured against two installations of enaio® server 12.0 and against 10.10, with the same result for Flags = 0 and Flags = 1. 0 only occurred for licenses of type C. A license of type N or U that is shared for the calling station was not tested.

5. Diagnostics in the Error Stack

For every module with 602 the server puts an entry with a positive code into the error stack, even though the job returns 0. The code names the reason:

Code Server Message Meaning

1105265534

The module <X> is not licensed.

Known module label without a license entry

1105265171

Requested resource <X> is unknown.

Unknown label: not in the module catalog (osresources, resourcetype = 0)

1105265196

The named license <X> is not shared for station <station>.

License entry of type N or U exists but is not shared for the calling station. The server also reports licenses of type U with the wording "named license".

1105265061

The queried resource is not available for the client.
