VERSION and registerBootstrap
Two small exported utilities that round out the public surface.
1. VERSION
VERSION: string
The library’s version string. Useful for logging, diagnostics and
self-identification. It always equals the version field of the published
package.
2. registerBootstrap
registerBootstrap(win: WindowLike): void;
Installs the host-called global (window.osDashletInit) and attaches the
single buffering message listener on win — idempotent. This is the
function the index module calls automatically at import time in browsers
(the import side effect); it is also exported for tests and for hosts where
you want to drive registration explicitly.
Registration happens at module evaluation time — synchronously, before any
load event and before any framework code runs. Before the dashlet is
configured, every host call is buffered (bounded, in arrival order)
instead of dropped, and flushed at configuration time — so a host that
speaks before installDashletGlobal runs is never lost. See
installDashletGlobal for the
configuration call itself, and the overview for where
both sit in the public surface.
